History: more than just the past

The past is everywhere. The places where we live, the people that we meet, the countries that we visit. They all have their own unique history, which has shaped and formed them. Thus, to understand the present, you need to know the past.

To conduct historical research, and to speak and write about history seems easy. But it is not. It demands a specific mix of analytical and pedagogical skills. As an academic researcher and qualified history teacher I possess those skills.
